About Willow Behavior

Hi, I'm Lauren.

I believe the science only works inside a relationship — with your kid, and with yourself.

How I Got Here

I learned the relationship before I learned the science.

Before I became a BCBA, I spent eight years as a special education teacher. That order matters. I learned how to build trust with a family before I ever handed them a behavior plan. I learned how to make a kid feel understood before I tried to change anything. Thirteen years later, that's still the belief everything I do is built on:

“The science only works inside a relationship.”

Not with your child alone — with you, too. Because a strategy only works if you trust yourself enough to actually use it, in the moment, with the kid in front of you.

Worth Saying

A Note On Where I'm Coming From

I'm not a parent of an autistic child myself, and I won't pretend otherwise. What I bring is over a decade of sitting alongside families as an educator and a BCBA — in homes, in classrooms, in hard moments — watching what actually helps and what just adds another thing to feel behind on.

That's the lens I bring to this work: not "I've lived exactly what you're living," but "I've spent thirteen years learning how to actually help without making you feel more alone in it."

What This Is Built On

Three things I won't compromise on.

01 Transparency

No performing expertise. Just what's true, even when it's not the polished answer.

02 Support

Not toxic positivity. Real tools, real honesty, and the truth that you're not the one failing.

03 Authenticity

You showing up as you — not performing calm, not following a script that isn't yours.

Let's see if this is the right fit.

A free call, no pressure — just a conversation about where you're at.
